New Year - The festival of starting the life again with a new hope and excitement, in which people tries to forget their worse and dark recollections and wishes to replace them with more happy and joyful movements but this festival always makes me remind of the mistake that I did 5 years back and it still makes me feel ashamed of me and the worse part is it's unforgettable.
It all began 5 years back, when I used live in a small town at California. I used to work at an IT Department for my living. It was New Year Eve so, my colleagues had decided to celebrate it at the 'Club A1 Place' which was a few miles away from my place.
"Reach by 7:00 p.m." My friend Nathan's text popped on my WhatsApp while I was wearing my black coat. He sent me the location, although I knew where the place was yet I replied him back with a 'thumbs-up' emoji.
I was almost ready - looking for my car keys, which I found lying on my dinning table. I locked my house and went near my car.
20 minutes later, I finally reached the club. Everyone was there - Nathan, Chris and Kelly.
"Hey guys! What's up?" I exclaimed.
"Finally you are on time." Kelly laughed.
"Hey, why you guys are waiting outside? Come in." Jhon, another friend of mine and my colleague, came out of the club and said.
As we were getting in, I saw a man staring at me. He was standing behind a pole and was only 4 feets away from me.
"Hey, any problem?" I inquired of him
He was not looking homeless. He had brown hairs and he was wearing white clothes. His eyes were blood-short red. He was fair in complexion.
"Club - Fire - Four will die" He whispered.
"What? What do you mean?"
"James?" Kelly shouted.
I went inside the club, thinking what did he actually said.
"Kelly, did you see that man standing outside?" I pointed outside, towards the pole.
"Who? No one is there."
"But-"
"Come on, James, you are just feeling tired.
8:45 p.m, We all were drunk, I didn't drank too much as I was the only one to drive the car and drop them all.
"Hey guys! Come, let's dance" Chris exclaimed, he was totally drunkard. He was dancing like a zombie in a horror-comedy film. I couldn't control my laughter. He was holding a glass of wine on his right hand.
Suddenly I heard a spark and the lights went off. Then after a couple of seconds, there were fire all over the club. Everyone was screaming with terror and fear. Horrors of scream suddenly took place of happiness. I turned on my phone's flash light to look for my friends and I saw all of them dead. Their bodies were caught by fire. I somehow managed to escape from that place and there were only ashes and ruins left.
I could have save them if I had told them about what I heard from that man earlier. I could tell this to the press but who would believe me? I didn't get even a single scar from that place. I think my time to die wasn't at that movement but one thing is clear - Death always gives you a signal before it comes.
